Description
Copper is a beautiful mineral found in many parts of the world. It may be found in a massive form as blobs or in crystal form. Sometimes it combines with other minerals such as iron, silver, bismuth, or antimony to name a few.
Splash copper is achieved by melting pure Michigan Copper and then splashing upon a concrete surface and left to cool. It can then be removed from the concrete as a solid piece. Then a chemical is applied to produce oxidation, which turns parts of the specimen a green-blue colour. The rest is then given a fine polish, and a protective coating is applied to stop the oxidation process.
